Hours of Work: Rotational Shift of M-F: 6:00am-2:00pm/12:00pm-8:00pm
Purpose of Job:
The Nurse is responsible for administering the diet, and providing guidance and treatment to patients, according to policy. In addition, she/he is to provide excellent customer service while assisting patients and maintaining the upmost confidentiality.
Medical Duties:
- Operate professionally, ethically and with integrity according to your College of Nurses Standards and Practices as well as the Company’s Policies and Procedures;
- Provide current and potential patients with diet information, responding to questions and/or concerns;
- Conduct consultations for new patients;
- Conduct in depth analysis of medical history forms;
- Monitor and discuss progress with patients ensuring appropriate completion of all documentation in a timely manner;
Administer injections;
- Glucometer tests, urine tests and other vitals as required;
On the occasional time administer oral medication (i.e. vitamins and minerals);
- Venipuncture (Ontario only);
- Perform manual charting.
Customer Service:
- Always greet patients in a welcoming and professional manner;
- Respond to enquires or refer appropriately as required;
- Encourage all patients to browse the assortment of products available for sale;
- Promote the diet plan to all prospective patients;
- Phone past patients to obtain an update on progress and invite them to return as required.
Other Duties:
- Complete product and medical supplies inventory;
- Clinic key holder;
- Assist Medical Receptionist with all duties;
- Perform training duties as required;
- Assist other clinics with daily operation as required;
- Maintain clinic cleanliness and neat appearance;
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management;
- Willing to travel, assist and train at other clinics in times of need, and/ or as assigned by Management.
Requirements/Competencies:
- Appropriate valid nursing license certification required and preferably with a number of years of applicable working experience;Customer Service oriented;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Pleasant and professional manner, in person or over the phone;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate as an active participant with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patients;
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Outlook;
- Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
- Ensure thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures, products and clinic services adhering to all protocols;
- Complete high quality work in accordance to clinic standards.
Job Complexities:
- Need to project a positive image at all times with patients;
- Must be able to handle difficult situations in a calm manner;
- Requires the ability to adjust approach to all types of individuals providing excellent customer service;
- Must be able to handle work volume fluctuations.
